PROJECT ACTIVITIES :
Practical Farming
Providing daily nutritious lunch feeding for 140 students in six (6) months

 


Students were taught how to plant, and how to use organic fertilizer.
Promoting environmental awareness and sustainable nutrition
 


Providing daily nutritional lunch feeding  for six (6) months to 182 students of Camachille Elementary School.

Active involvement of Parents and Teachers in the implementation and governance of the project.

IMPACT of the School Caravan : Gulay Project
1. Provided daily nutritional lunch to 572 students for six (6) months in three (3) covered school

2.  Increased  96% nutritional status and eating habits of 572 students in  three (3) covered school.

3.  Enhanced students proficiency particularly in
writing and reading.

4. Active involvement of Parents and Teachers in the implementation and governance of the project.

5. Provided the three (3) schools with farming  materials , tools, seeds and technical know-how.

6. Increased level on environmental and nutritional awareness of students on the value of agriculture through Practical Farming activities.

7. Development /Construction of 50 square meters  food clinic in Sto Rosario Elementary School that serve as the feeding center and a training hub for the parents, teachers and students.

8. Installation of water facility used in Sto Rosario Elementary School for safe drinking, personal hygiene and gardening.

9. Strengthen networking/CSR with the schools, communities, local government units, private organization and affiliations.

AWECA Foundation’s ACCREDITATION UPDATE

 

Accreditation with the Philippine Council for NGO Certification valid until  July 27, 2013 -  for renewal.

 

Accreditation with the Department of Social Welfare and Development valid until  August 27, 2016.

" a time capsule " for FOOD CLINIC AND WATER SYSTEM


 
The WATER SYSTEM was installed, This will be used in the establishment of vegetables/ nursery and for their personal hygiene and drinking water
 
Students taught how to plant
